Hi there! It’s way past time for an introduction! I’m Carol Hobbs, owner and guide at Running Fox Tour Co in Nome, Alaska. I love history and I love Nome, so the privilege of sharing our quirky town lore brings me great joy. I’ve lived in Nome for a dozen years, homeschooling five kids (all adults now!), building deep friendships, developing subsistence skills. A few of my favorite things are kayaking with my husband, picking berries with my girls on the tundra, beachcombing Nome’s old beaches for treasures, hiking with my family, and snuggling my grandkids.
